On Monday, March 17th, 20 Silver Creek seniors journeyed to Martin Murphy Middle School to participate in that school’Äôs Multicultural Week. At the request of ASB Advisor Dawn Truver, these Japanese 4 students became teachers for a day as they gave presentations to 12 different classes of seventh, eighth, and ninth graders. Topics covered by the young sensei’Äôs included Japanese cuisine, Japanese music, and comparison of Japanese junior high school to American jr. high school, Origami, Japanese writing systems, numbers, Japanese games, and learning Japanese in high school.
Here are a few examples of the fun from this year.
