Welcome! In the Spring of 2005, William Truong and Phuoc Nguyen came to me with an idea for online flashcards for all vocabulary lists in the SCTHJP reader. They showed me what they had created using the tools available at www.flashcardmachine.com. William, being my TA at the time, laboriously entered all the vocabulary for the Japanese 1 flash cards. The flash cards were created so that they are aligned with the Silver Creek Japanese Program's reader. Your browser needs to support Japanese so you can view the flash cards.

Finally, I will add this: These flash cards can be helpful if used consistently and diligently. However, I still feel that a more effective way to use flash cards is to create them yourself using pictures and your own personal notations. Tangible flash cards also allow you to do the 3 pile system of review that I teach in Japanese 1. Nevertheless, these flash cards exist for your use and benefit. Use them often and use them well!
