2008 Japanese Language Proficiency Test

Every year, SCTHJP students travel to San Francisco to take the internationally recognized Japanese Language Proficiency Test. This test, given on one day around the world by the Japan Foundation and the Japanese Government, consists of a Reading Section, a Listening Section, and a Chinese character (kanji) section. Students who pass the exam are given a certificate ranking them based on their skill with the language. This year we had a extremely low number of students take the exam (44 in total), but we also had the most number of students sit for the extremely challenging Level 2 exam. Let's all give a deep bow of respect to the four women who took on this incredible challenge:

Level 2-- Catherine Amutan, Melissa Ha, Victoria Le, and Victoria Trang.
